Broadwater is central for travel throughout Cape Breton Island. A short, 10-minute drive in either direction will put you on the northward direction of the Cabot Trail loop.One of Canada`s most famous day trips. You can easily do the 184 mile loop and return to Broadwater after a day of adventure to relax and reflect in a comfortable setting.      
The Cape Breton Highlands National Park offers one of the most spectacular drives in the world. And if you keep a sharp eye out as you drive, you’ll probably see some of the abundant wildlife which calls the National Park home: moose, deer, bald eagles, and whales. There are hiking trails for the more adventurous and the Cabot Trail is a cyclists dream.

  • 15 minutes to Donelda`s Puffin Bird Island Tours
  • 40 Minutes to Cabot Links

  • 60 minutes to whale watching Ingonish or Cheticamp
  • 70 minutes to Fortress Louisbourg
  • A leisurely stroll along the bay (1.3 mile) brings you to the Village of Baddeck.
